Update. Had someone out to look at this, the fuse on the circuit board had blown. replaced and all working again for a reasonable £35 all in, considering it’s a Sunday I don’t think that’s bad at all and have learned a lesson to be more careful in future.

Would help if I said there was already a wireless thermostat receiver already fitted so I’d just disconnected the old one and replaced with the hive receiver
