Could you be a bit more specific? Do they need drilling in past the plasterboard and into the brick so needing a longer screw?

Hi all Our new build walls are all plasterboard front, any exterior facing walls have a very small gap between that and the thermalite brick. Can anyone recommend a fitting to use in this case? This would be for TV mounting, book shelves and other heavy load bearing things. Thanks Renz
