Cracked a cast iron radiator, trying to repair it.

Thanks mate, unfortunately you were right! The crack must’ve gone all the way into the thread inside, I used epoxy and it worked ok for the most part but some of the crack was inaccessible. Lesson learned! Will look into fernox though, thanks for your help

Need help identifying this anaglpta wallpaper

Thank you, it’d be a fairly bug job doing the whole ceiling but that may be the best option at this stage, would stand out of I used anything else. Even if it wouldn’t be noticeable to other people I’d look at it every time I walked past haha. Thank you for your help though

Sistering vs cross bracing joists in attic

Hello I’m about to start a project on my loft. I’d like to use it as storage, not a habitable space. When I’ve cleaned up half of the space the joists aren’t the best (approx 75mmx33mm) so I would like to strengthen them. There are old lath and plaster ceilings below these. It’s my understanding...

Hello I’m currently building a shelving unit to go in the awkward space underneath my stairs. Hello I’m currently unearthing an old chimney breast, I will be installing a cast iron insert eventually and I hope to hang a tv above it. As I was removing the plasterboard which was covering the opening its took a fair bit of the original plaster down with it. I would like to run a cable...
