ECIR Failed due to light pendant covering missing?

After sending an email with all the issues, constant non-replies and asking for an immediate refund they've now sent over an updated EICR (still failed of course) with the "light pendant are not cover with proper case" updated to C3 (which I didn't ask for them to do, just explain the regulation...

ECIR Failed due to light pendant covering missing?

Sigh, after asking the below "Hannah, Could you please let me know what part of the regulations have failed due to the light pendant? Also can you please send me a corrected EICR (even if failed) with the updated items to the above items I mentioned in previous email? As I still need to send...

ECIR Failed due to light pendant covering missing?

Good question, I don't see it listed on the EICR as what regulation part it's failed - Makes no sense to me, how can a normal pendant light be classes as dangerous needing an urgent fix? Posted pictures of the EICR.. There was a socket which was coming out from under the stairs which I agree...

ECIR Failed due to light pendant covering missing?

Hi all, I recently had an EICR failed ('C2') due to my standard ikea pendant lights not having a cover - I have no idea what this means and frankly don't believe that a common ikea pendant light would fail such a test. There's a tiny bit of a gap between the ceiling and the base of the pendant...

(New) Porch pulling away from house

The foundations were decently deep (I think... anyway, I'm not sure how much they're supposed to be), unfortunately I'm not sure how deep, but they did dig maybe 300-500 and fill in with maybe 200mm concrete. The engineering bricks at the bottom are 2 courses deep into the concrete poured into...

(New) Porch pulling away from house

Hello, So after a nightmare earlier porch build (single brickwork skin, full brick with a square window on one side, joined to the window on the other side - bay window), I had it taken all down and a started anew. Foundations, (around 450mm or so at least), and brick work is done up. Roof has...

    Is this brickwork/porch OK?

Sorry what would be the other major issues? I've already paid £850 (20% of total price ) for the foundations he dug and laid and for removing the old porch - So would *prefer* for him to carry on, but withhold some of the final payment unless it's absolutely perfect.

    Is this brickwork/porch OK?

Hey, thanks for your feedback. There is a wall starter used on the left hand side joint to the existing wall (if facing the house) but none on the right hand side (under the window) - I'm guessing there should be on there too? This is the joining on either side, there's the wall starter on one...

    Is this brickwork/porch OK?

Hello! I've recently (well, 3-4 weeks ago now, just before lockdown....) I had a recommended builder start our porch. Old, rotten, wooden porch has been taken down and this started. It's been like this for a couple of weeks now as apparently the builder couldn't get more bricks due to the...
