My bad about the boiler name. It dropped few weeks ago, yes and I adjusted it. I think that actually coincides with when the problems started.

Interesting question, when the problem was intermittent I listened very carefully and indeed whenever boiler is not firing up the last clicking sound is missing. Same problem right now - last 'click' is not there.

Not sure how to do it and I don't have the tools for it, which probably means I should get an engineer :) At least I know which part might be at fault, thanks for that. If you have any other suggestions please feel free to share them.

Yes I called one today and he immediately suggested replacing the boiler :D (no joke, he said that baxi boilers are no good) In all seriousness will try and find someone if the problem is more complicated than unscrewing few things. No it does not. Also forgot to mention that the pump is fine...
