Update ... If I stop the boiler for a minute or so the ticking sound from the pump goes away and then comes back a few hours later. Its a mystery

I looked at them but didn't fancy changing the pump body . The head was the extent of my abilities

Cleaning the filter seems to have done the job . Thanks for your help . Only issue now is my new pump ( brand new old style from eBay) makes a buzzing sound, like the old fashioned fluorescent tubes made . Hopefully it's with it being the energy efficient one ,my old pump wasn't

I changed that diaphragm last year. The old one was ok but thought I would swap it as was doing the dhw diaphragm at the same time.

Just about to start changing the pump and was looking around inside the boiler. Should the pin in the picture go flat ? , that's as far down as it goes

Any tips on refilling the boiler? It usually takes me ages to get all the air out

Hi again when I drain the boiler down to clean the filter im also thinking of changing the pump as it's a bit noisy. Is it ok to just fit a new pump head ?

What would you suggest trying first? . You were correct about changing the thermistor it didn't help

Update the issue happend again with the cool radiator and short cycling. I turned the dial up on the boiler and it's now working like normal again ( just needs the dial turning further than before)

I've got the diverter valve internals kit from eBay but not sure I could replace everything correctly. Is it a hard job fitting a refurbished diverter valve?

The heating worked initially (when it went funny) but after an hour or so the radiators where much cooler than usual

No the hot water was completely normal
