According to the website, it fits in that location with any of their cockspur handles. "Fits all upvc cockspur handles shown on this website and all upvc windows." I will at least try it as it doesn't cost much. The question is how deep can I safely fix a screw into the window?

Why won't they work? I'm intending to fit them to the surface that is circled in red on the photos, which is where they are designed to go.

So, if I connect with the numbered side up, the orientation of the connector is the other way round compared to what is shown in the instructions.

But the problem is that instructions don't show the connector as it is in reality. See the photo and how it differs to Fig. 1 - the numbers are actually on the other side of the connector (the side of the connector which is not level).
