So I have taken out the photocell and reset when boiler fires I shine a torch on the photocell. Looking down the photocell housing I can see a flame which starts off really strong but peaters out after a couple of seconds. It tries to fire 3 or 4 more times with same results. Any ideas?

yes I am on tigerloop, not really sure how to change nozzle and sadly don’t have tools to check oil pressure...

It fires and runs for about 15 seconds flame sounds like it is weak but adjusting air makes no difference. I took the blast door off to see if chamber sooted up and you could feel the heat inside so there has been a flame but won’t stay lit.

Hi All I have the above boiler with a sterling 50 burner which will not fire. it seems to try to fire and sounds like it does for 10 - 15 seconds then locks out. Plenty of oil in tank. I have replaced the photocell but still no go Any help will be greatly appreciated... thank you John
