    Good question regarding asking the external for a new notice. Yes I'm only bothered about getting a completion certificate just so in the future if I did ever want to sell it wouldnt be brought up.

    Hi there thankyou for the response. The work from the 1st spade going in has taken 3 years. They then gave me an extension of 3 months to complete the work this has now run out.     Sort of. The external building control company said I have run out of time to complete the works. At this point it gets referred back to the council. I then have to apply for retrospective building regs. The extension is complete including fittings decor etc. Just needs external render
