I volunteer for a charity which has just had a storage shed supplied and installed. The quotation description for the roof felt was 'Heavy Duty 40kg felt' I took this to mean 4kg/m2 felt ie 40kg for a 10m x 1m roll which I believe is the accepted way of describing felt weight The felt installed...

Update as promised ... the job has happened, the guys who turned up were firmly in the real world, and did a frictionless job fuelled by ample tea and cakes. Maybe we were also lucky in who we got. Thanks again to all for your inputs.

Thank you for your comments everybody, I'll post an update on how the installation goes next week. Another quirky thing, they invoiced by email last Tuesday, then left a phone message the next day to say if they had not received the money by the end of that day the order would have to be postponed.
