I've to fit some runs of PVC and ABS solvent weld waste pipes. Have only used PVC waste pipes before and typically used this solvent cement - however I noticed it specifically states It's for PVC pipe. Will this solvent cement from Screwfix do ABS (and possibly PVC also)? Thanks

Given the level of peeling I’d say it’s more likely the previous paint was oil-based and you used water-based over it. So you either need to use oil-based again or a decent primer like BIN that will give you a key to take either type again.
