Thanks for the confirmation. We've only been in the house for a few weeks and only noticed this so I'll close it off and I guess I'll need to bleed the radiators so the system goes to the right pressure? Can't disagree, I'm expecting it'll need to be changed reasonably soon.

The noise at night can be heard upstairs and almost sounds like a breathing/sucking noise, repetitive noise and very annoying!

Hello, I joined this forum as it looks like a helpful place. So our boiler is at high pressure all the time, whether the heating is on it not (3bar). Hearing works fine and bleeding the radiators hasn't helped. It also starts to make a loud noise during the night. Never does it in the daytime...
