Thanks. Could turn into a pig of a job. If the bricks drop, above lintel area, no way of putting them back in. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Think I’ll fit the lintel tomorrow, at least the face will be supported as removing timber frame

I’m not certain but could be. They don’t seem to be tied into the back of the chimney though, which is strange. Was thinking of getting fireback removed and getting bricks fitted along the face and under the current ones that are on the fireback. This would create the right size opening...

Hi all Just fitted a vertical rad with an in-built divertor and after piping up I think I’ve I got flow and return mixed up as only the bottom is heating up, so bypassing the divertor Can I drain and fit an a divertor on the other side to fix this or do I need to re-pipe this? Thanks in advance

Hi all A few days ago my fridge freezer decided to go warm and had to throw everything away. Since emptying it, it seems very sporadic and at time works fine and cooling ok (4degC fridge) and other times it gone to 16degC Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks in advance

It was propped up. Definitely moved as can see gap in the top of tile detail and the brick now touches the new frame in the middle where there was a gap

Yes the render will need to be sorted as well. The bricks should just pop out, but luckily I have 5-10 matching spares if needed for the header. I’d prefer to keep the look as it will match other window details

Yes quite possibly when the old window was installed. Wouldn’t be keen on non galvanised steel as it would just rust. I’ll get some quotes to install a proper lintel. Thanks woody
