Just to update the post.. got my boiler guy out and he stripped out the wireless Honeywell unit and replaced it with a standard wired thermostat.. Unfortunately same issues, the heating is behaving erratically again another night of no heat, in the morning it randomly kicked in and has been fine...

I've got a guy coming over tomorrow to have a look.. He will remove the honeywell since I'm considering changing it anyway to a Nest. He'll temporarily fix a manual wired stat as an interim and we'll check all the connection and see what happens from then onwards.. Thanks for your input its...

Would a PCB fault not at least show as a F code. That is the thing that is bugging me most is that I have no error codes to work with.. I will have to get a boiler guy down.. just don't want someone to come over with a call out charge and not find anything wrong with the set up.. The fault is...

What you were saying is that by moving the wires over it should have kept the heating on constantly bypassing the thermostat.. Which it wasn't doing.. it was behaving the same way as before the wire change. still giving S.30 code. So wouldn't that indicate a stat receiver problem? not sure now

Yep i think i did reply to your message. I moved the Wire from B and put it in A, and rebooted the boiler and it was exactly the same no change.. it didn't make any difference at all.. Was still showing the S.30 code. however randomly pre wire change it was exhibiting random status code...

I'll have to do some wire trailing and figure this out and come back to you guys... It's just odd that it seems to work at random times.. Like for instance.. All night it was perfectly fine and i had good heat.. then randomly about 5am the heating had gone.. nothing consistent about it as I...

I moved the wire from point B to A on the stat receiver and powered up the boiler and it made no difference Still showing the S.30 status message.. Does that indicate a dodgy receiver?

no work carried out recently to be honest both flow and return values are as they have been nothing changed there.. I dont use Zone valves. Each Rad has a thermostat but again nothing changed there.. Not sure about the 24v link and what I'm looking for there but will have to investigate thanks

I promise to upload a better picture shortly when I get home from work.. In the mean time i took a recording of the boiler behaviour via Live Data.. I've added 2 videos if you guys can have a look which might identify what the issue could be. I'm starting to think maybe it's not the thermostat...

Might be a good test just to get the boiler working and seeing if i get the status message or not. I'll move the B wire on the stat receiver to A and see if that kicks the heating in

maybe time to upgrade to a Nest.. just a shame I can't pinpoint if it is the stat that is causing the issue.. I might have to see if i can disconnect it completely and see what the boiler does

The stat is on a stand mostly sits in the bedroom away from radiators. its a portable stat so can take it to any room.. but mostly in the bedroom where it has sat for the last 5 years and has been working fine up until now.. I can force the boiler in to chimney sweep mode and the heating does...

fair enough thanks for your input definitely something dodgy going on as it shouldn't be clicking on and off constantly every second for a few minutes then go off completely then back on randomly.. however from the looks of things the thermostat and receiver seem to be lighting the usual lights...

Hi There - I've been in my house a few years and recently noticed issues with my heating constantly going off and on, could be fine for a week but then for the next few days it clicks on and off randomly, sometimes giving me heat for 30 minutes sometimes 5 minutes, nothing consistent. When its...
