    A bit of a waste of time today. I didn't realise you had to disconnect the rire from the gas supply and remove it to get access to the plug and socket so no further forward. BG coming out again tomorrow pm and I hope to meet them and convince them to do something positive to get the boiler...

    Thanks. I'm going over there tomorrow (I live in Doncaster and my Mum is in Leeds) so I will do as you suggest. It sounds weird to me that a plug and socket can just fail overnight without anyone touching it. I am surprised BG did not do as you have suggested. I will let you know how it goes...

    Thanks. With the programmer set to CH only nothing happens The valve is a 3 port valve I have found out the programmer wall plate is Danfoss MK18. there is no wire connected to terminal 2 (CH Off) The room thermostat might not be RMT 24, it just looks like it!
