    Hi, the wall is 4ft from ground level. It is roughly another 2ft under the ground. The photo that is taken looking into the dug out section doesn't show it all the way to the bottom. Lee

    Yes it is a retaining wall. It's an old wall so didn't know if it's just going to keep getting worse over time or the vertical crack would suggest that's it was done when the foundations settled. There is no historical evidence that any repair has been tried in the past. Lee

    Hi Andy, Thanks for the reply. I have added some more pictures. Just to add, the wall is two bricks thick with render on the outside. There is also no bowing in the wall, just the crack. Lee
