    The joists run parallel with the wall, I see no reason for anyone to have installed a plate on that. Nothing would be on it... Don't think it would be useful unless they also installed straps. I'm pretty sure none of this has happened and there's just a single story single skin brick wall up...

    I don't remember seeing one when I replaced some bricks for a padstone for some steels. I went in on the intersection of 2 walls ("T-junction"). Maybe there was a plate further along? I didn't see it.

    They run parallel to the wall either side of it. Put noggins through and screw sole plate to the noggins?
