    The noise did disapear after 10 - 15 mins but I must admit after the heat exchanger was changed, I do not have the problem. The engineer may have adjusted the gas pressure, after fitting the new heat exchanger but I could not say.

    Thanks for the reply, The boiler is 18 months old and the system was not flushed. All the installer did was fit thermostatic valves to the radiators. There is no divertor valve on the system, so I belive it is a heat exchanger system. regards Michael Foster
