    Why do you think it wouldn't be sat on the wall? Seems really odd. Could it be when they built it they just had a slightly shorter one? It must still be resting on something..

    We have had the front of our property (mid terraced) taken down and put back up. I noticed one of 1st floor joists wasn't resting on the bricks like the others.. Any suggestions? All the other joists are sat nicely in place.

    Yeah, I think there probably is a joist around there- I couldn't honestly tell you though.

    Hi, We had the attic converted about 13 years ago. They dropped the ceilings in the bedrooms and replastered. I've noticed that the plaster near the window seems to have dropped and cracked away. I'm wondering if anyone could advise me as to what might be going on here? Thanks for your time

    Ripping ceiling down
