Thanks, all, for your helpful input. I was informed that the waste pipe's diameter is 4" (100mm). Perhaps it is longer than 8". I didn't actually measure the thing. It seems like everyone here thinks the two 90-degree bends won't affect the flow in any material way. Most reassuring! Thanks...
