Hi , I have recently moved house and have found my electric shower is powered by what can only be described as an electric oven switch about 10" off the floor behind the toilet ! Obviously im no electrician but is this 1. safe 2. illegal 3. should the shower not be used cheers.

Gas oven as well . spoke to powergen and they agreed it is higher than most domestic gas usage for the size of house and this bill is pre gas rise! I have been told my boiler may be burning more gas than it needs.
