    Fused spur question

There’s nothing there anymore, I built an airing cupboard and put the door where it used to be. My dad added an extractor fan switch close by but not in the same position. I have a voltage tester and I have a multimeter, I’ve never used a multimeter so dont know how to check anything with it...

    Fused spur question

I’ve just checked where the immersion heater used to be. It’s definitely not been used for anything else. Is there anyway to check that old cable to see if it’s live then?

    Fused spur question

The switch had no fuse in it. I guess my dad took it out when the immersion was taken away. I’ll go and have a look around but I don’t think he repurposed it. If the socket had no fuse then it wouldn’t work but are you saying that it still could have been permanently live?

    Fused spur question

Sorry im getting confused. The fuse spur socket had no fuse in it and it went to the removed immersion heater. When I tested it with the volts meter it had no reading. Have I done something wrong

    Fused spur question

So could I remove everything from the FSU but what’s confusing me is the black and red comes from the right hand side and it also comes from directly under the double socket. Does that make sense? Could I remove the top single one and the one underneath it then run a new piece of metal channel...

    Fused spur question

The cable going diagonally down I’m not sure where it is going. Directly underneath that section is just a set or drawers to the right hand side an archway then onto an extension.

    Fused spur question

Morning all. I’m doing some work in my kitchen and I was wondering if I can remove a fused spur. I have a double socket and next to it is a fused spur, with a switch. The switch used to turn on the immersion heater that we no longer have. My dad used to do all our electrics but he’s no longer...
