    kitchen worktop repair

Hi everyone/the experts here I have a small chip in a kitchen worktop - see photo. I'd be grateful for advice on how to repair - what products you'd recommend to use etc. Rest of worktop is fine so seems silly to replace rather than repair I think so long as it's something slightly darker it...

roofing job - what do you think?

Thanks I can't see where the holes were at moment (scaffolding in way) but roofer did give a couple of options said was same price, one was covering (not the painted bit) with plastic capping which gets screwed in said he'd recommend that as less long term maintenance. We did also have another...

roofing job - what do you think?

Stevie88 thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. I dont have before photos of the roof [do have some of the fascia/soffits which showed peeling paint [and a couple of holes]- i saw them scraping this off off and it's now painted as shown in photos, so "hopefully" all ok but havent actually...

roofing job - what do you think?

Danfre - thanks I'm not sure how much I can do about that but could raise issue of lead length and pointing if others here concur, but at least [unlike others here] it's very specific. It's a pointer to look for if/when things go wrong with it in future or if I have any other roofing work needed...

roofing job - what do you think?

thanks actually thanks to the comments on this forum and eventually being able to look at gutter from above, was able to sort out the issue and clear the gutter and resolve the problem - because people did question what I'd said in my non-expert way

roofing job - what do you think?

thanks for the cut n paste job; real expertise there. but agree, sometimes we all use these sites or trustpilot and even with good reviews and trusting our 'gut', sometimes we will get it wrong, sadly

roofing job - what do you think?

Well if they are, a chancer they have managed to get >100 positive reviews [and a score of 4.5/5] for roofing jobs [yes i did read all the reviews] on mybuilder.com. Maybe all us customers are mugs, and the chancer has no competence as a roofer but somehow still got a good score from lots of...

roofing job - what do you think?

no - either i've been a mug and paid far too much [even tho others quoted far more] for substandard work - altho as I've said, the scaffolding seems the right ballpark for the size/height/number of platforms - or i've paid the right amount; either way it's not material. what would you charge ...

roofing job - what do you think?

I dont know if done to a decent standard but hoped people who comment and present themselves as experts to be able to explain themselves not just say 'it's all ****e' which doesnt help me go back and say to him 'shouldnt this have been done like <that>' etc and isnt what I'd say is specific in...

roofing job - what do you think?

not the cheapest but not the most expensive [which was x3]. I do at least know how much the scaffolding element costs having obtained some for the same height & length from a local co for a re-pointing project on side return earlier this year, and that looked about right, albeit he will have...

roofing job - what do you think?

So how would you find a 'professional roofer'. [ps what are your own credentials please - I couldnt find any roofing co called aj stone services online let alone any reviews] And item by item, as follows, what exactly hasnt been done correctly and why, and what should have been done. Anyone recommend telescopic pole and scraper/brush for moss on roof?

I have used this it's ok has a little bit of a tendency to try to unscrew off the docapole and tricky to use with a 6m docapole fully extended using above roof from an upstairs window. If you were on a ladder at gutter level and using extended only 3-4m (then moving ladder along to do...
