Thanks for the (helpful) replies and tips guys, have tried annealing but still get kinks. Also, I only ever pull on the handles, not the pipe, but could see how this would cause the problem. Have now gone back to Hilmor bender with steel rule 'technique', and this seems to be the best option.

Avoid Blinds-Depot.co.uk Yes, they were cheap compared to local supplier, but poor quality blinds (wooden venetian), poor fitting instructions, and were sent wrong size - drop was too long, so had to modify myself, as they would not reply to any requests for rectification or refund.

....age old debate. What water wastage?! Don't know about you, but I don't fill my bath with ONLY hot water, therefore why is water wastage an issue? Just put the plug in, and open the hot tap, doesn't matter if some scold comes out first does it? :)
