Texecom keypad silent on entry countdown

Alright - actually that only appeared to have fixed it for a an evening... Today, no entry sounds were audible again. I unchecked the Speaker Tone settings again for the Entry (to make a star appear) - then left the engineer mode. Since then it's working again. What is interesting is that when I...

Texecom keypad silent on entry countdown

I think someone told this to the sellers of my house when they sold it to me (including the texecom system)... I think it might depend on your installer contract. In any case, it would make sense to check with the installer to get hold of the engineer code.

That was all set up correctly - thanks for checking, though! Just found the issue. I had the area programming set to timed exit for some reason... Maybe this got changed when I changed the batteries in July... Check here for more information...

Texecom keypad silent on entry countdown

Yep. It even gives me the countdown (I can see it on the display - it's just silent now for some reason) when armed or chime sound when unarmed :)

Texecom Area Arming Modes - Entry/Exit vs Timed Exit

Ah right... So if my front door (zone) is set to entry/exit - that just means it won't trigger the alarm if I enter the house... (So it just determines what happens if someone enters the house). And the entry/exit arming mode determines what happens when you exit... Got it

Thanks mate! And why is there a setting for this in the area settings and then again for each zone? Thanks mate :)

Texecom Area Arming Modes - Entry/Exit vs Timed Exit

Hi all, While checking my Texecom's alarm system settings I realised that it was set to timed exit (in the area programming / arming modes menu)... Not sure why that is - especially since our main door has a contact sensor - which is set to entry/exit... What's that arming mode setting used...

Texecom keypad silent on entry countdown

Hi all, I can't seem to find a setting to turn on an audible countdown when entering the door (using a door contact on entry/exit setting). Where would I be able to re-enable it? Something must've turned that off... Cheers!

Texecom Elite 64 Keypad starts ringing - alarm stays silent

Yeah that's what I did. It makes the sounds again now. :) my keypad has four options there it seems... Had to press it three times (and wait to hear a sound twice) for it to chime again when I trigger the chime zones

Texecom Elite 64 Keypad starts ringing - alarm stays silent

Thanks mate - will try and tighten them a bit. Also noticed that my charm settings were turned to silent since I changed the batteries I summer. Might be related - but not sure... Will keep you posted if the tamper alerts come back Thanks a lot!

Texecom Elite 64 Keypad starts ringing - alarm stays silent

Thanks, pal. Would I just screw in there? I guess I'd need a rawlplug on the other side? It's just weird because this hasn't been in issue in the three years prior...

Texecom Elite 64 Keypad starts ringing - alarm stays silent

Hmmm... Had a few more keypad tampers recently... It looks like they might get triggered by changes in temperature in my hallway? Not sure... Do you think it's faulty (and needs replacement) and/or are there other elements I could check apart from the batteries? Thanks a lot :) Also took a...
