Hi John, Sorry for the delay, busy weekend. Thanks for all your help, I’ve got the electrician coming over soon to sort the humidistat, and they need a little acces to the ceiling anyway, so, if it’s not too much of a job I’ll have them pull the junction box too!! Cheers Chris

Thanks JW. I’m genuinely not sure if it is MF complaint. Had I of known this about JB’s it would have stuck out in my mind a bit more. The builders also would have not questioned it as the other socket was already in place before they plastered. They got to this job before I’d reminded myself...

It was a waste of calories, because had you just explained ‘why’ it wasn’t being done properly, it would have really helped. Instead this thread just turned sour and meanspirited

So I basically can’t have a junction box in an inaccessible place, now I know that, I know I can’t do what I was wondering. Thats all I needed to know before allowing the builders to continue.

Ok thanks for clearing up the term, apologies! That would be a junction box. I think I’m actually going to add the fan onto the lighting ring now anyway.

Hi there, I’m in the process of having my basement tanked and want to add a few sockets and a humidistat fan (probs a monsoon). It’s a radial circuit being set up down there. Can I add a fan to the end of this? I’ve added a diagram of my thoughts for reference. Cheers for the help in advance.
