I’m trying to drill into a 1930s supporting beam (see attached pics) in order to attach a curtain rod. But the drill won’t go further than a few mm, not far enough to insert enough of a rawlplug. Have I hit impenetrable concrete? I assumed if it was metal it would be an I beam so in the middle...
