Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

I got second opinion from other gas engineer before i book an appointment with leak detection company. the gas engineer says that the pressure gauge is in wrong place hence pressure goes to 1 bar from 0 bar low pressure with out topping up. the gauge is now connected between temp and pressure...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

thank you. what kind of expert do i need to get to look into? is this normal gas engineer? or unvented engineer? Because i have kept posting my update that i got gas engineer to look into. He checked expansion vessel and put sealant in the system .but still the issue that pressure goes to zero...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

is this an issue? do i need to get leak detection to look into ? ======== When the unvented hot water mega system is ideal/cold, the pressure goes to zero on gauge at the unvented system. but when i start the central heating with out topping up, the pressure automatically goes to 1 bar. is this...

When the unvented hot water mega system is ideal/cold, the pressure goes to zero on gauge at the unvented system. but when i start the central heating with out topping up, the pressure automatically goes to 1 bar. is this normal or any issues? i wonder how pressure goes to 1 bar with out...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

So water could be escaping somewhere under the floor (tiles) because I have been having this low pressure problem for one year especially during winter: Should I then get leak detect engineer to detect leak under floor ? Do they trace the leak with central heating pipe? Can you advise

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

Thank you Everyone. I have attached my picture of my cylinder temp&pressure relief value connected to tundish. Sir, Please can you have a look at the picture and let me know if this still not correct I will get a gas engineer to look at it.

What is the issue please ? Is the water leaking somewhere? Or is it ab issue with pressure expansion vessel?

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

Update : So, I got gas engineer to check the pressure of the expansion vessel. He checked and confirmed pressure of the expansion vessel is fine and put fernox leak sealer. But still today the pressure went down close to zero when system was cold and no usage around 3pm however when i start...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

I want to update back to the forum 1. when system is not running, the pressure gauge shows ZERO bar (whole day central heating was on at 19'c), when i started the central heating to 21'c today the pressure is automatically increased to 1 bar with in 5 mins. does this indicate a leak? if water...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

Thank you very much. I will get gas engineer to look at expansion vessel. Just to add a few details that I have noticed after two days pressure goes down during winter then one of the radiator upstairs has no water when bleed. Could it be some gas in the system which causes pressure to down ?

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

Just to update on this low pressure issue with unvented system during winter. I noticed today afternoon when system is cold it no hot or hear running the pressure gauge at unvented hot water cylinder showed zero but when I started central heating with out topping up water the pressure...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

During summer, I kept an eye on the pressure gauge at unvented system and no central heating running, the pressure was always at 1 bar until I started running central heating. Only when central heating is running after two days the pressure goes to zero. I also get tick tick sound during...

Unvented central heating losing pressure only in winter

Thank you. I have tried about 7 gas engineers. They changed PRV. Pressure gauge and nee boiler no solution yet. This pressure low happening only in winter when I run central heating and when the system is back to cold at night. It takes two days to lose pressure to zero . May need to get some...
