So is the stat the only thing that actually calls for heat and then only if a trv is turned up?

Thanks, i will be trying your suggestions. Just as i was typing this, sitting on the loo (tmi) i tried turning on the loo rad and suddenly it chose to work. Maybe I'm just using the whole system incorrectly. Will get photos of as much wiring as i can. I think my biggest issue is...

Which plates? I have changed wiring on 2 wall stats and a control unit. Also was working other day until i replaced 2 non trv valves with trv's

So my wiser says heating on, boiler and cylinder both make the right noise but no heat is being received in any of the rads. All of them have wiser trvs on and I've tried every setting on them. The system even comes on when i try adjusting the trv, but no heat. Tried bleeding the rads and...

Have tried to put the downstairs zone on and am getting absolutely no heat :( Swapped the wiring as per the upstairs stat

This may be a(nother) daft question, but do we actually need the room stats . Theoretically couldn't we just either leave the heating full on and control everything thru trvs or just use the trvs to call the heat

actually update, it does seem to turn on eventually, but only after i hit boost and then it doesn't turn off! :(

Hi, This is my wall plate for the thermostat - thinking it's wireless as it can be powered by usb and then it turns on when not attached to the wall! my main wiring board attached to the sotrage tank, jsut below where the controller goes is here but nothing is clear on the wiring :(

OK, so I've worked out if i 1st set the new thermostats to active, ie calling for heat then it makes the old ones turn on and i can control the heat again, so I've just turned the new ones all the way up and can control using the old ones although obv i would rather just remove the old ones...

they are wireless so can not turn them on anymore :( it goes with this cylinder if that helps

so i've installed the system and the new room stats work, however they don't actually produce heat and i'm guessing it's cos i have these in place? do you know how i go about decomissioning them? thank you
