    Gurgling Sounds From My Boiler

Hi Andy, thanks for taking the time to respond. Due to the current demand from the boss for the heating to be available 24/7 I was not able to carry out the full drain down, mains flush & inhibitor re-fill, as soon as the weather/boss will allow I will fully drain down & re-fill adding X100.

    Gurgling Sounds From My Boiler

I have a Potterton Promax 12 SL, it is the original boiler, installed in 2011, it is in good order & has just been serviced with no issues found. You reference a metal filter is your preference, as I only have 130mm between the 22mm elbows on the horizontal pipe many filters are too big, you referenced a TF1 as being a good piece of kit, after researching I found the FERNOX 62248 TF1 OMEGA FILTER SLIP SOCKET CONNECTION only requires a...

Thanks DP, yes if this boiler was in Yorkshire I am sure it would have worn out by now, thankfully the milder climate in Devon means that it is not on 24/7.

    Magnetic Filter Install

Hi Madrab Thanks for the detailed response. I had a basic understand of pipes 1 - 4 & your explanation has confirmed this for me. The tank is located in the airing cupboard on the 1st floor in the centre of the house, once the pipework leaves the airing cupboard it disappears out of view into...
