So just to come back to this in case it's helpful for someone else. I eventually managed to get access to the master code and for some reason, although i only had 2 fobs there were 5 users set up as fobs. I'm not sure if what looked like pairing mode on the fobs was actually some kind of error...

that's worked I've now been able to change the engineer code. Thanks. I have come up against my next challenge. I couldn't change the master code in the engineer menu and I understand I need the master code to add a keyfob. Is there any way around that without having the master code?

Thanks. I have managed to back door in but once i do that i still don't have the option to change the engineer code for some reason. The only option when i enter the change code menu is to allow 5 digit codes or not.

I'm thinking 10 secs per try so I can get through about 60 tries in a 10 minute session and about 3 sessions a day so probably around 2 months to get through all 10,000 permutations. Not fun but also doable if it doesn't set off the alarm after too many wrong tries

Hi - just coming back to this after trying a few things. Does anyone know if there's a limit to how many incorrect codes you can enter? I'm considering working through every 4 digit permutation until I eventually find the engineer code but don't want to set off the alarm if it triggers it after...

Would changing the batteries cause it? Otherwise I'm guessing I've managed to do it when trying to get it to respond. In assuming the flashing red and green light is probably it in pairing mode?

Even though I probably can't fix it, does it sound like the fobs have been forgotten from the system and need re-added?

thanks got the chime off now. for the date and time - the only code I have doesn't give a change date and time option in the menu. I can only change user code, do walk test, test siren and review logs

So the walk test didn't do anything. i.e. it didn't register any of the inputs but I did manage to pull the power and battery and the system seems to be working now. I have 2 new problems though. 1. I don't have an option to set the date and time to the correct settings. 2. the control panel...

If it worked what would it be expected to do? should it clear the errors but leave everything else intact or would it reset the codes too?

Not been able to try walk test yet. Is it something that could trigger the siren at all?

I haven't tried that, what would the expected result be from that? Would it require reprogramming? Would it reset back to factory settings or just be a soft reboot? Thanks

yeah, I changed them all and all at least 3.2v

yeah all the correct batteries and all installed correctly. i.e. the keyfobs light up and the door sensors and PIRs all light up as expected. it's just that they are still listed as low battery in the control panel. I've even checked some of the batteries with a multimeter to confirm they are...
