Adding pebble edging around concrete base

Hello everyone, We're looking to add a pebble/gravel edging with plants around our new garden office, which sits on a concrete base. From reading up, our thinking is to dig up the section around the unit and add a membrane (cut holes for the plants) and add the pebbles straight on top...

As an update for anyone interested, I have done another inspection after they said that they "fixed" everything and pretty sure this is still way off the mark in terms of what would be acceptable.

Electrics down to garden office, what's wrong??

Thanks everyone for your responses! Glad it wasn't just me thinking something wasn't right. We're withholding 70% of what we owe until we get a proper electrician to come and do the job properly. Honestly, am so surprised that they thought they could get away with this and am so glad we didn't...

Electrics down to garden office, what's wrong??

Hello everyone, Looking for some advice/opinions on some work that has been done so far to get electrics running down to our garden office. Cracked concrete in garden office foundation

For this, I was told that by the builders that this is all correct. Judging by the rest of the work they have done, I imagine this might be an issue. Do you have any advice on what to do next? My thinking was to not agree to pay them and get a second opinion from a reputable electrician in the area.

Cracked concrete in garden office foundation

The concrete has been in for a couple of weeks. They installed the unit after a couple of days of the concrete drying. Thanks for the advice on the wood rot and wood expanding, do you have any advice on what kind of wood preservative would do the job for this? Thanks!

Cracked concrete in garden office foundation

So far, we've only paid about a quarter of the total due which I assume is probably going to mainly cover their materials and some of the labour. I'm seeing the builder today so will bring up the point about the water tightness and definitely bringing up the electric cable point (already have...

Cracked concrete in garden office foundation

Thanks so much everyone for the advice and insight on this. It's really odd as this company came really highly rated on my builder. Does anyone have an idea of what remedial work would be needed at this stage? Would the whole structure need to come and the foundations started off all over again?

Cracked concrete in garden office foundation

Hello everyone! We've had a garden office put in and are unsure if what the guys have done will last or not. There are already several cracks in the concrete and bits that are over hanging. I'm no expert at this but it doesn't feel like it's been done properly so would be great to get someone...
