Rewire 2 pin shaver plug (possibly New Zealand?) (Ed.)

My daughter in Nz, last week. It was her U.K. oral b pro 3 that she took with her. As I say, she’d already changed the one on her sisters (slightly older model oral b) which was a simple twin brown and blue cable, no issues.

Rewire 2 pin shaver plug (possibly New Zealand?) (Ed.)

Hi everyone and thanks for the replies! I’m going to get my daughter to send me some photos - she’s in NZ and I’m in UK so will post them when she finally gets them to me.

Rewire 2 pin shaver plug (possibly New Zealand?) (Ed.)

Wanting to change the 2 pin plug on an electric toothbrush charger to a standard 3 pin (NZ in this case). Have done this before successfully, brown and blue cables to live and neutral. However, the twin cable on this one has grey and white sleeves inside. Which is live??? Wired it with white...

Spur off for a single socket??

Thanks for the reply. Tbh I have no idea re your question. We’ve had some work done recently which required a sparky who’s very much on the ball and leans towards overkill with safety, so would doubt there’s anything dodgy.

Spur off for a single socket??

I’ll have a go at most things, but that may be a bit beyond me. Any chance you could send me a link to the socket you’re thinking of? Can only find Cooker/ fused switch combos which are obviously way higher rated than needed.

Spur off for a single socket??

Many thanks for the message. It would seem to be on the same circuit as the sockets in the loft bedroom. It’s on a 32amp fuse. The label below the fuses does say protected by rcd. The fuses on the left which you can see, say not protected.

Spur off for a single socket??

Hi, after some advice please. We have a fire alarm in our pantry with a hardwired 5 amp fused connection. Could we take a spur off this for a single electrical socket? Wanted to move a beer fridge into the pantry but have no socket available. See photos for current set up. Thanks in advance.

Wiring help - replacing lighting switches

Advice please. Changing old switches. I thought the old switch was 1 way but has 3 wires - yellow to com, red to L2 and blue with red sleeve to L1(switch live?) see photo. Is the new switch I’ve bought suitable? If so, which wire would go in the N/loop terminal?? Thanks
