    The plastic will ALWAYS take ages to dry regardless of what you put on them. One way to get rid of this prob is to apply the Ames Taping Corner Bead on top of your corners.

    My advice is DO NOT chance it with applying Supermatt on previously painted surfaces. You could have probs a couple of years down the line.

    Painting old cement/slate walls

    Where is the "cement and the slate" ! Is it on the walls ? If so, then i would use Dulux Trade Stain Block Plus. Followed by two coats of Vinyl Soft Sheen. I would do this whilst the weather is warm though.
