11 years on and I find I have the same problem with the same type of drayton mid position valv. I have checked the mecanical valve and it is ok and I agree the only way to reset the actuator is to switch off the power supply to the boiler.

11 years later and I am having the same problem with a drayton mid position valve which was fitted a year and a half ago. I have checked the machanical valve and it is ok but the actuator sticks in the mid position and can only be released by switching off the electricity to the heating system
