Thanks for your reply. It is a very serious question. Without those pins I can't set the hours between I want hot water/heating. I couldn't find those pins anywhere , probably is sort of a dinosaur central heating.

Well, that could be the reason, but there is also a terrible cracking noise apparently coming from the pipes that go to the boiler. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I actually tried that: the humming disappears but then I get what I think is called "water hammer" and the pilot goes off - the pump is upstairs and the boiler downstairs.

It's an enhanced toilet seat that has a small spray pump - you push a button and it does the cleaning for you. Hence no paper! And it might have incorporated a dryer and many other functions. http://www.hygieneforhealth.com/ could give you an idea

Do the regulations say anything about installing an electric bidet in the bathroom (obviously) ?
