    @Bigsosij, yes, its open circuit when the button is not pressed, after disconnecting wires. when pressed, goes from 2.2kOhms when the LED is off to 8.8kOhms when it comes on. @sparkymarka I got the other half to hold the tamper switch down manually whilst I tried come out of engineers menu...

    Got it. 8.3 kOhms without the press, but when the tamper button is pressed, it seems to oscillate between 6.5 kOhms and 7.5 kOhms. Thanks.
