    I was thinking that expanding form would not be a good idea when it come to services and inspections. I was considering making a plasterboard insert with some vent holes in it, instead of the gaping hole that is currently there. Thoughts?

    Yes, I got the one with the heating & Hot water controller "Hive Thermostat for Heating & Hot Water (Conventional Boiler) with Hive Hub - Energy Saving Thermostat" The other option was the combi boiler model. Is this correct do you think?

    I had a look and there is only an old school click timer for the immersion, but we never use it and it is all set to "off". We rarely need just hot water as we have electric showers. So I'm not to bother by not being able to control it separately.

    Fixed, there was some residue on the buttons , cleaned it up with some alcohol on a swab. Now it works perfectly. Thanks a million.

    No luck, the first step is to put the controller into "off" mode. Mine is stuck in "auto", tried it regardless. It did turn the display off for a second but nothing else happened. Still stuck in "auto".
