    If that is the case do i need to find the other end from each original thermostat, disconnect it and then link in a signal at the water tank upstairs signal box ?

    Hi I removed the wires from the each thermostat and just secured them in block connectors. So they not connected to anything, the new thermostats are battery operated and have no wiring required. I didn't locate the other ends though. Interesting to note the original wiring for the heating only...
