It's going in a sink. What different tails do you suggest?

HI. Can anyone help with a tap install. We are putting in a used Franke tap from a family friend. We have got some flexi tails but when they go in we're struggling to get the mounting bracket, washer and nut all in to tighten up. It's like the diameter of the flexi are too thick not allowing...
