the paper should be evenly covered, no big lumps and not thick, just an even covering, as for mixing the paste, i have never gone of the instructions on the packet, they are just a guide anyway, if what you have done already is still stuck to the wall then i would say your mix is right, any left...

I gave up on them recently, as stated old system was much better and have always had issues with stock problems at my local, find it better (for paints at least) to go to my local independent now, always thought they were dearer but after having a chat with the guy said he will do me special...

to be honest I would say that is a resonable price depending on amount of prep involved. As has been stated before in this thread, we do like to come out with at least 100 a day (I aim for about 120) and a bit less is paid to employees so it sounds a good price to me.
