Thanks; I've taken them out and given them a good rub with a wire brush, and I'll see if that improves things. Is there any merit in swapping the two sides over, to even out the wear? One of them has much less left on it than the other. Nigel.

I'm getting this error too, sporadically, on an Ultima 1200 WD71 washer dryer. Typically, what happens is that the machine starts, it gets part way through a cycle, but then when the motor speeds up as, I can hear sparking from the motor, and shortly after the LCD display becomes corrupted...
