ok thanks for your help. the cable runs along the bottom door bar, they took it out, put the cable underneath then put the door bar back on, so yes effectively it would be walked on. my main concern was if the door was replaced at any time in the future, the cable could be damaged.

I have had a new kitchen installed and the person who fitted it put in a new radial main around the back of the washing machine along the door bar and then underneath the kitchen units, but none of the cable is fitted under plaster, or the floor, or in any trunking. Basically it is just curled...
