Taking possession of something you own.

According to someone on here I'm a BTL parasite, and let's be honest LLs do get a bad name, usually unfairly. Funnily enough my tenants don't think I'm a parasite, to them I provide a decent property at a fair rent, dealing with issues raised promptly. Some idiots don't seem to realise the...

Pray tell, where would you suggest the 1000's of people live for whom renting privately works perfectly well? For example someone living in a town for 12 months on a temporary work contract. Or those who simply don't want to buy a property, believe it or not people like that actually exist ;)...

Deary deary me, when someone has to resort to picking up others on perceived or actual grammatical errors, that alone tells me they know their side of the argument (or is it arguement?) is lost ... I'll leave it there, bored now.

Nope. Wrong. Far from it. What you mean is my more accurate views don't align with yours.

It's like these muppets in coastal villages/towns that talk about too many outsiders buying the properties and now locals are priced out. At some point a LOCAL has sold the property to an OUTSIDER, that's how concerned they were about locals being able to buy ;)

Or 2.75x if it's a couple both on an average salary ;)

I'll try again. If your property that cost £10k in 1976 was now valued at £320k and you needed to sell it now, as a point of principal would you sell it for significantly less to help the prospective new owners out affordability wise? It's a Y/N answer ;)

I'm manipulating feck all. Ha Ha Haaaaaaaaaaaa. I'll try again. The SPECIFIC property I'm referring to (3 bed terraced) can be had for 4.8x average salary. It's on at £135k. The average terraced house in Scotland is £160k, not £200k ;) which yes, is more than 4.8x, 5.7x to be precise.

So you would? If you were currently sitting in a property that you wanted to sell, and it was valued at £320k, you'd sell it for £150k? Is that what you're saying?

I don't have to thanks. The property I'm referring to, a perfectly nice 3 bed in a decent area is on at £135k. The average salary in Scotland is £28k. So that specific property for someone on an average salary can be had for 4.8x ;)

I am 100% confident that everyone in this thread would not want to benefit from an increase in property value. 'Hello, is that Mr Noseall? It's the estate agent here. We now have the valuation on your property. You know, the property your parents bought in 1976 for £10k. It's been valued at...

Depends where you live. Average salary in Scotland ~£28k The 3 bed I mentioned, £135k 4.8x average salary. Yes more than 2.5 but not as high as 7. I'm still waiting on someone telling me what kind of (fair to all) scheme should be brought into law to ensure property price increases are capped...

I'm not missing any point. Completely depends on the area in which people live. Are there areas of the country where the average earner is priced out of buying and maybe renting? Yep. Is that reflected across all areas of the country? Nope. Next door to one of my rentals (in a perfectly...

It's called being a realist and has absolutely nothing to do with being down on younger generations. Your first point above, there has ALWAYS been a portion of society that can't afford to buy a house no matter how hard they graft and, you ready for this, there ALWAYS will be. FACT. Your...
