Thanks for the replies. Paul - what does AFAIK and APS mean? just a total novice on this but do have the confidence to change the heating sensor.

I think the pump is working correctly because the heating does come on some of the time.

I've got a falcon boiler (natural gas) and the hot water is working fine but when the heating comes on the pilot light starts but then the led goes to permanent red on the standby light. It tries the cycle again but does the same thing. The problem has been happening for about a month now...

I think the drainage pump on my dishwasher is stuck as the water is not being drained. Do I have to buy a replacement or is there an easy way to fix this? Also if I need to replace the pump is it easy to do? Thanks

How can I rectify this problem if the pump is stuck?

There is about an inch of water left at the end - doesn't seem to be draining anything. I've checked the waste pipe and that seems clear and the filter seems ok. I'm not sure where the pump is or how to check if anything is blocking it?

Dishwasher runs through the cycle but doesn't seem to be draining - is leaving water at the bottom of dishwasher, therefore have to clean this out before using again. Any Suggestions?
