Thanks for all the ideas. The pump is new about 6 months old , the system has been flushed thoroughly and has inhibitor added and OH yes the pipes are good and hot! . Any other ideas? possibly a boiler thermostat?

I have a rather old glow worm fuel saver 40-50. Wether it is heating the hot water or central heating it only operates for about a minute then turns off for the same amount of time then refires. It keeps doing this for the duration of the programmed time? Is this normal for this type of boiler...
