    22mm pipe comes out of the top of the boiler on into the bottom of the tank in the loft. The 22m pipe splits to a 'T' inside the cabinet, with one part going to the water to water heat exchanger, and the other going to the gas to water heat exchanger. BTW many thanks for your quick reply

    i forgot to mention that there is no other tap or connection any where near the above drian?inlet for filling lop so i assume that it will be filled from the mains taps. correct ?

    thanks a lot for the info ive had a proper look at the drain thing i described and it has an internal thread on it so i assume that is where the loop will thread on to and the little pipe that comes off at an angle will be how to open it. tony
