Ok so the expansion tank is in the loft space above the upstairs bathroom & the boiler is downstairs in the kitchen.

There seems to be a constant dripping of hot steaming water coming out of the pipe which hangs over the expansion tank in my (very old) central heating system. The tank is half full so the system is not empty. Any ideas??
