    For the drainage the size of the pipe and trap has to be 40mm, the maximum distance is 3 metres from the stack and the gradient is 18- 45mm per metre

    Without actually looking I can't tell exactly. I don't really recommend it, but you could fit a new self fitting one from B&Q and not use the existing one. Although you could do this it would reduce the flow/pressure, so really you would need a plumber to correct it

    gate valve stuck

    Gate valves, need to be turned off and on every two or three months. Limescale may be onside stopping it fom moving, what you may need to do is tighten a little to dislodge the limescale, then try again to loosen the Gate Valve, if this don't work you may need to fit a new one.

    radiator wont get hot

    Do you know if you have a one pipe system, this is when you have just one pipe going to the Radiator, which don't continue to another and one which leaves the Radiator?
