    best tool to use for cutting kitchen worktops to size?

    Cut the straight cuts with the router then. Clamp the jig onto the worktop and route away. Do it in 4 to 5 passes. I always use a router or knife the line and cut with a hand saw and tidy with a block plane.

    I need to fit a new handrail and base rail to take spindles (at present it's the 60's style 6x1 planks instead of spindles). However, where the string meets the ceiling i cant run a baserail or even handrail all the way to the top. I think i am going to have to mitre it into the ceiling...
